We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians residing around <strong>Townsville<\/strong> <strong>and surrounding suburbs<\/strong>, supporting them to remain living independently in their home. This is a casual opportunity, these hours will be between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with no evening or sleepover shifts. You will joining one of Australia\u2019s leading social purpose providers with a dedicated leadership team to support you.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for someone that is considering a change and looking to make a positive impact in their community.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Build positive relationships with clients<\/li>\n<li>Domestic assistance such as:<\/li>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>meal preparation<\/li>\n<li>light cleaning<\/li>\n<li>assisting with paying bills<\/li>\n<li>assisting with organising appointments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community<\/li>\n<li>An Australian Driver\u2019s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel between clients homes<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships<\/li>\n<li>A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
