The role of Manager, Social Clubs,is responsible for ensuring all Social Clubs are efficiently and effectively managed, encouraging and mentoring Social Club Managers and supporting staff to achieve their objectives, facilitating communication throughout the broader HammondCare team ensuring the requirements of the Mission in Action is achieved.
Essence of the role:
- The Manager, Social Clubs, is responsible for professionally managing Social Clubs in line with the Mission in Action and the strategic plans for HammondCare at Home, encouraging and mentoring Managers and supporting staff to achieve their objectives, facilitating communication throughout the broader HammondCare team.
- Regular travel between Social Clubs across Sydney and the Central Coast, and overnight travel to Social Clubs in the Northern Rivers and QLD.
- Ensuring that all roles within all Social Clubs provide services tailored to the needs of individual clients, and ensuring the quality of care is of the highest standard and delivered in line with current best practice and are delivered within funding parameters.
- Identifying new and better ways to deliver the Social Club service that improves clients care and enhances HammondCare’s Mission
- Assisting Managers to understand the requirements of service occupancy and outputs in line with funding agreements. Ensuring the provision of service growth in line with our Mission in Action.
- Managing the Social Clubs fiscal position within agreed budgets and financial parameters
- Delivery of new Social Club services within agreed timeframes and identification of new Social Club locations and opportunities.
Key Focus Areas:
- Monitor and analyse key metrics across People, Clients, Care and Risk.
- Develop a team of skilled professionals who work within our Mission in Action to deliver quality care to our clients.
- Implement and report on key actions and outcomes for safe and effective client care.
- Respond appropriately and thoroughly in response to the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
- Compliance with the Aged Care Act, and Aged Care Quality Standards for the Area and respond professionally to external audits, assessments and feedback when required.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in management, or nursing, or related degree OR Cert IV in Aged Care/Community, completed within < 10 years
- Significant experience operating at an operational and managerial level.
- Experience in leading and driving social and respite style activity.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Industry standards and process
- Experience managing a remote team of skilled professionals.
- Experienced in operating effectively in a multi-site environment.
- Effective key stakeholder management
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution skills
- A current driver’s license and safe driving record
- Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites/Clubs and services on a weekly basis.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Empathy and patience
